Hi there 👋

I’m Damien Lagae: Tech Lead / Senior Developer // PHP - Symfony, team bike mechanic, husband and father of :girl: Lise & :boy: Lucas.

I work at Enabel, the Belgian development agency, which implements the Belgian governmental cooperation in its partner countries. I lead the development of our in-house Symfony applications and maintain a few open source bundles under the @enabel organization.

:package: Open source at Enabel:

• enabel/ux: reusable Twig components and utilities for Symfony applications
• enabel/coding-standard: CLI tool to bootstrap coding standards, quality tools and CI for PHP/Symfony projects
• enabel/partner-countries-bundle: partner countries management for Symfony
• enabel/enabel-bootstrap-theme: Enabel Bootstrap theme

:bike: On my free time I’m a mechanic for a cycling team, and I build tools for that too.

:wrench: I’m currently working with:

• PHP 8.4+ / Symfony 7.4+
• MySQL / MariaDB, Redis
• Docker
• GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps
• Upsun (Platform.sh), Azure
• PHPStorm

:zap: Fun fact: I turn :coffee: and :pizza: into web applications

:mailbox: How to reach me:

See you around a :beers: at a [tech/php/symfony/…] conference
